Hotel and office lobbies
Marble and limestone that have lost their even reflection.
Stone and marble floor care is a neutral clean, and where the stone allows it a light polish, for marble, limestone, travertine, slate and similar commercial floors. Lobbies and hotels book it when the stone looks etched or dull. Use the quote form or WhatsApp and name the stone if you know it.
Dull patches, white etch spots and dark joints are the usual complaints. Etch is damage to the polish, so a detergent will not restore a mirror finish on its own.
The rooms that usually need stone and marble floor care.
Marble and limestone that have lost their even reflection.
Stone that shows salt rings and heel marks.
Slate or terracotta that holds grease in the texture.
Quotes follow square metres, soil, access and whether we work while you are closed. A usual UK guide is about £1.50–£3.50 per m² for a machine scrub, £3–£6 per m² for a deep scrub, and £8–£15 per m² when a vinyl or linoleum floor needs strip and seal. Stone and heavy grease sit at the top of that range. Send the form or WhatsApp for a figure on your floor.
Keep acid drinks and outdoor salt off the floor before we arrive. Tell us about any impregnating sealer already applied.
Use a stone-neutral cleaner. Vinegar, citric descaler and bleach dull calcium stones. Mats at the door cut the grit that scratches the polish.
A honed or polished stone floor in a lobby often wants a maintenance polish a few times a year. A deep hone is a heavier job and is quoted separately if the etch is through the surface.
Bathroom limescale products etch marble in one pass. A rotary from a hire shop with the wrong pad can leave swirls you can see under the lights.
This is not tile and cement-grout cleaning with acid, and it is not a new stone floor installation. Epoxy and concrete have their own pages.
The same floor method is quoted across the UK. Open a place for access notes.
